Prasana upanishath gives us questions asked by disciples to Pippalaada , one among the Atharva lineage.The questions are complementary to what is said in Mundaka Upanishad. The Atharva Lineage is Sarvajnakalpa and has the position of Brahman in a sacrifice. The disciples had to observe penance for one year( the shortest unit of time) before asking questions.The first question asked by the disciple was ,from where does all these multitudes of children from different species come from forever ?It is a biological question on the continuity of procreation of species.When Prajapathi desire children, Thapas ( heat and thermostasis) is produced and from it couple (mithuna) came out called Rayi and Praana.From that couple ensued all these .The food is Rayi (somam) Agni (fire/energy) is Praana.They are inseparable twins (ardhanari) and and are really one split into two. With food and energy , the Prajaapathi created all living things through his heat and homeostasis. Sun and star, life energy are fire. Whatever is revealed by reflected light of these fires is called Rayi, its Mithuna of Praana.Rayi is the moon and earth and food and is the twin of Sun,stars,energy. Whatever is seen with form is only Somam (enjoyable food for senses ).Energy has to be enjoyed not by senses but by introspection, and subtle values,creative intelligence.That is done only by a few. The question of Ekam,Anekam (One,many) in nature and in mathematics arose from such continued observation of generations and introspection on it. Ekam Eva Adwitheeyam.(One without a second) is the seen and unseen came out of that thought of human race.Vikasa,sankocha (contraction and expansion) are twin couples (Mithuna) and are not different. Savya and apasavya (clockwise,anticlockwise) evolution is a twin. Not really different. Formation of universe,solar system,earth, life forms on it and its food cycles and ecological cycles and then the identification of even the intellect and observatory power as part of the same energy, thus identification of one's bioenergy with cosmic energy force is what is meant by such studies.This is how Brahman is identified as Jeevan in Upanishath. Such identification gives the status of Brahman to the Rishi too who had achieved that thanmayeebhaava. The word Brahmana , thus means , the human being who is in the ecstacy of being one with God (Brahman) as the entire universe in oneself.
